| Meet The Coaches - Report |
May's event was Meet the Coaches and CTSC were delighted to welcome Fitness Conditioner Kevin Till, Reserve Grade Coach, Richard Pell, Assistant Coach Andy Hay and of course Tigers Head Coach Terry Matterson. A whole host of questions were asked from the floor with of course Terry getting the 'lion's share'. Kevin explained how the re-furbished gym had helped with sessions and had contributed to a bigger stronger squad and how it was helping with the development of the younger guys in the Under 18 and Scholarship Squads. Richard talked about how happy he was with the progress of the U-18s and Reserve squads and whilst no targets had been set for league placings the aim was to help produce quality players for the 1st team. With the 1st team, Andy gave an insight into his role and also things like matchday routines and how he'd told some of the team about his Wembley exploits (even though nobody had asked him). Terry was asked a variety of questions including his views on referees, how the team is prepared for games and whether individuals are targeted, how individuals work to improve their game. Terry was also asked about contract negotiations were going. They are in discussions with several players who are in the final year of their contracts and also that he was in discussions about his own contract. CTSC would like to extend thanks to all those members who supported the event, to Discovery Accommodation of Whitby and to Terry, Andy, Richard and Kevin for giving up their time. Presentations were made for the Player of the Month Awards, details of which are below.
