Castleford Tigers Supporters Club

Rangi Chase was the big winner at the Tigers 2009 Awards Night, held at The New Wheatsheaf.

The Kiwi half back took the Player of the Year Award as well as the Director's Player of the Year. Other award winners were Mitchell Sargent, Michael Shenton, Richard Owen, Brett Ferres and Kirk Dixon.

The Castleford Tigers are backing brand communications agency, Clearsilver’s charity High Heel-a-thon event, in aid of Breast Cancer Haven. And to show how committed they are full-back/centre, Ryan McGoldrick and full back Richard Owen have even donned heels in support.

Ryan, looking very fetching, if somewhat uncomfortable, in team colours and heels, said, “It’s not the usual request I expect in a morning but as it’s for such a good cause I’m happy to help. How you women walk in these things is beyond me – give me a pair of rugby boots anytime.”
