Huddersfield Away

After 5 Superleague defeats in a row the Tigers bounced back with a win against the Giants at The Galpharm. It wasn't so much 'Classy Cas' more 'Tenacious Tigers' as Terry Matterson's ground out a hard fought 13-6 victory with a late Rangi Chase drop goal securing the 2 league points.

The Tigers were still without key men in Ryan Huson, Brent Sherwin and James Evans all through injury but welcomed back Ryan Boyle who was unavailable last week as well as Michael Shenton and Joe Westerman from International duty. For Huddersfield Liam Fulton returned from injury to take a place on the bench alongside ex-Tiger Danny Sculthorpe making his home debut.

St. Helens Away

Another week and another defeat as a depleted Tigers travelled to the league leaders and came away on the end of a 50-10 reversal.

International call ups also hit Saints depriving them of James Graham and James Roby.

Warrington Home

Castleford slumped to a fourth successive defeat at The Jungle going down 34-18 to the Warrington Wolves, in a display that left much to be desired.

The Tigers were guilty of indiscipline, poor execution and seemingly trying to score off every set of six instead of being patient and making the plays that count in the right areas of the field.

Huddersfield Away - Challenge Cup Quarter Final

The Tigers Wembley dream ended in dramatic fashion at The Glapharm Stadium as they wilted in the heat, unable to withstand a late fightback and going down 16-14 to Hudersfield Giants.

The game played in sweltering conditions was entertaining for the watching TV audience and both sides deserve immense credit for the way they handled the conditions.

Hull KR Away

For the first time this season the Tigers lost consecutive Superleague fixtures going down 16-6 against in-form Hull KR at Craven Park.

Again the Tigers went with an injury ravaged line-up as Ryan McGoldrick joined the sick-list. Craig Huby returned from his lay off to take a place on the bench with James Ford slotting in at full back to replace McGoldrick. For Rovers Michael Dobson lined up at scrum half with the likes of Ben Galea, Sean Briscoe and Paul Cook in a near full strength line-up.
