The Tigers were edged out in a thriller at The Jungle which will stay in the memory for the controversial way in which the game was decided effectively by the 'Video Ref' Steve Ganson. When in the middle Ganson seems to want to take centre stage and now it appears that he wants to grab the limelight when off the field. The St. Helens based whistleblower disallowed a score from Tigers debutant on loan winger Shaun Ainscough on the stroke of half time, much to the frustration of the Cas faithful, but worse was to follow when he awarded a try to Liam Watts after what appeared to be a knock on by the Rovers sub. A decision Terry Matterson described as 'disgraceful'. |

In front of the Sky cameras, The Tigers and The Wolves produced a tremendous game in difficult conditions, but unfortunately for Cas the result went Warrington's way with a 16-28 scoreline in the visitors favour. After what was a cracking encounter the main talking point was the eccentric performance of a referee Ben Thaler who seemed to take pleasure in penalising the little things around the 'play the ball'. Sorry Ben, the fans pay to watch the spectacle produced by the players not the performance of the 'Man in the Middle' |

The Tigers got off to a winning start to the 2010 Superleague season, pulling off what many experts considered a shock win, at a foggy Headingley Carnegie Stadium. Shock maybe but a win that was fully deserved as Terry Matterson's outfit overturned a 10-6 half time deficit to score 18 unanswered points to come out 24 - 10 victors. Matterson handed a debut to new signing Steve Snitch in the 2nd row whilst Paul Jackson started his second spell with the Tigers at prop. Ryan McGoldrick started at full back with Richard Owen deputising for Kirk Dixon on the wing. For the Rhinos new faces Brett Delaney started in the centre with Greg Eastwood starting on the bench. |

The Tigers ended their regular season with a home win against the basement club Celtic Crusaders by 35 points to 22 although the game lacked any real intensity and had a distinct end of season feel to it. The game will probably be best remembered for the performance of referee James Child who frustrated the home crowd wih some strange decisions before being replaced at half time due to injury. |
