CTSC EVENT

Tuesday 11th October

WSTS Suite, MAH Jungle

Rugby League debate Night

Host Richard Stead, BBC Radio Leeds, covers Rugby League on BBC Humberside.

Panel

Mark Wilson, Radio Yorkshire, talksport.

Phil Caplan, Forty – Twenty magazine.

Ben Cooper, Head Of Strength And Conditioning, Castleford Tigers.

A good attendance greeted our guests as we got under way with the first subject, a review of the 2016 Castleford Tigers season. The panel and audience then discussed the Super League season, including each team, the Super 8s and the grand final.

After the break, the panel and the audience discussed the 4 nations competition, the international game in general, the domestic game, covering TV coverage, Thursday night games, attendances, A team rugby and duel registration.

Everyone enjoyed a entertaining evening and I would like to thank Richard, Mark, Phil and Ben for attending, along with everyone else who came on the night.

The event raised £91 and we presented all our guests with a bottle of wine, a thank you from the CTSC.

Just after the interval we asked the CTSC members if they approved that the next donation be used for the clubs preseason camp at La Santa in Lanzarote. We had asked Daryl Powell at the end of September what would benefit the team and Daryl said that a donation to the warm weather camp would help the most, the camp being the most important part of the preseason preparation.

The members approved the donation and this will take the money donated by the CTSC members since 2004 to over £75,000, a brilliant effort, thank you everyone.

Also congratulations to Denny Solomona who won the First Utility player of the month award for September. The Castleford Tigers Supporters Club accepted the award on Denny's behalf, thanks to Denny for the honour.
