Special guests, Kirk Dixon, Michael Shenton, Daryl Powell, Janice Powell and Steve Gill.
With a sell out audience to celebrate the 2015 season. I would like to thank, past and
current members, Castleford Tigers Club officials, coaching staff and players for helping
us this season.
Just like the main club we have loyal members and sponsors, Your support as kept us
going, together we have raised and donated over £67,000 to the Tigers since 2004, a
fantastic effort,thank you all.
This year we reached 305 members and have 6180 members on Facebook and 2132
followers on twitter, our aim in 2016 is to increase membership further.
After a superb dinner, we had a word with Kirk Dixon who had retied at the start of he
2015 season,we talked about his career at Castleford, the ups and downs and his
personal memories,he enjoyed his time at the Tigers and always looked for the Tigers
result first. Kirk won many awards at the CTSC player of the year awards night over the
years, attended many of our events and always gave us his support in good and bad
times. We then made a presentation to Kirk in recognition of a great career and wished
him well for the future.
Next up was Michael Shenton, who spoke about the squad for 2016 season and it being
very strong, with competition for places in every position. We also touched on the
disappointment of the England squad for Michael and Luke Gale. Michael was looking
forward to the season and the need to step up in intensity in the clubs aim for the top
Darryl Powell was next and he gave his assessment of the 2016 squad, the attitude of all
the players in pre season training and the need to start better than we did last season,
consistency of performance was the aim. Top four and to win any trophy was the target
for 2016. Darryl was happy with the whole of the club and how it had progressed since
Lastly Tigers CEO Steve Gill gave an update on the clubs position, before the dinner we
had all observed a moments silence for Bridie and Jack Fulton, Steve repeated that our
thoughts and prayers were with the Fulton family. Although not complacent the club
was doing well on season tickets, 3050 sold to date and the club was in a profitable
position. All the guests thanked the CTSC for their continued support.
As a thank you to our guests we also presented
them with a gift from the CTSC, once again thanks to all our guests for attending and
making it a special night.
The festivities continued with a raffle, auction, Karaoke and dancing

well, everyone who attended and made it a special night, the CTSC committee for all
the hard work, Christine Taylor, Ken Harrison,Keith Taylor, Derek Whale, Vicki Ellis and
